As company leaders looked at their business strategy over a six to ten year horizon, a sharp focus on the need for forward-thinking leaders emerged. Given their growth plans, desire to expand into different industries, and range of new and established product lines, creating a leader pool prepared to realize their aspirations became a talent priority. Career development was also seen as key factor in retention of high potential leadership talent, based on a retention study of past, present and future employees.
